1. Years ago I had a girlfriend of Lebanese descent and we went to a dinner at her Lebanese church. She pointed out all the women wear gold bands which indicate who is the wealthiest. The richest had the most. She said long ago they didn't have banks and stored their wealth on women's arms so it became part of the culture.
