The Decameron | Official Teaser | Netflix

  1. Fo the international viewers: the "Decameron" is a collection of one hundred short stories written by Giovanni Boccaccio, an Italian writer in the fourteenth century.
Italian students are use to read his works, being part of their school curriculum.
It's a fun and dare I say avant-garde piece of literature, specifically because of how it's well written given the period in which is set and what are the events that surround the main characters.
Because of how delicate and genuine this stories are and the mastery with which he deals with heavy topics, I think this is another butchering of a historic piece that deserve much more.
I still keep my hopes up, but if you are interested there's not only the book but also a Pasolini's movie.
